Kathryn Childs Dove (Katie) received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Valdosta State University in 2004. At VSU, Katie served for four years on the Student Judicial Council, and was a member of the Campus Activities Board, Mock Trial Team, Student Honor Society and Chi Omega Sorority. Katie later earned a law degree, magna cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. There, she was a member of the Moot Court Board, Federalist Society and Inns of Court, Charles Clark Chapter. She competed in the Duberstein National Moot Court Competition in 2006 and 2007 in New York City, and placed first runner-up in both competitions. In 2006, she received the best brief award at that competition. She also competed in the semi-finals round of the MCSOL competition and received the second-place best brief award. Katie was an academic scholarship recipient and received the Mississippi Bar Litigation Award in 2006. That same year, she completed an externship for the United States District Court Judge for the Middle District of Tennessee, the Honorable Thomas Wiseman.

Katie is admitted to practice in Georgia state and federal courts and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Moultrie Bar Association and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Before the opening of Dove Law Firm, LLC, Katie practiced law in Moultrie with the law firm of Howell + Parrott, LLP. There, Katie handled a wide variety of both plaintiff and defense cases in state and federal courts. Her practice areas include catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, employment discrimination, workers’ compensation, automobile accidents, business litigation and various other litigated matters.

Katie resides with her husband Andrew in Colquitt County. The couple attends Liberty Baptist Church and enjoys camping and any other activity which entertains their two young daughters, Mary Frances and Claire.
